Homes present Introduction of Clarence Foxworthy of Homes Association of Kansas City, 913-385-2440, current book keeping service for Blackthorne, they handle all the following: dues notices, liens, mailed notices, mailed newsletters, tax returns, and many more service we may use a la carte in the future. Opinion Poll: a poll was distributed and filled out during the meeting. The goal was to discover what was most important to the neighborhood. A similar poll will be distributed on the website and please take the time to fill it out for the Advisory Board’s guidance.
Some of the topics were as follows:
o Entrance water feature
o Pool expansion
o Pool enhancements
o Installing a crossable structure on the walking trail
o Additional social activities A call was made to ask for several positions to be filled:
o Social Committee Chair: accepted jointly by Mike Mason and Barbara Borsdorf
o Newsletter Committee Chair: Mary Anne Williams
o Welcoming: Brian Grewe Discussion about picking up after the pets we take for a walk. Please be courteous and pick up and property dispose of animal waste. Several trees around the area are dead and needed to be removed. Robert Russell of Russell Landscape was present and said he would get on it. Some trees would be evaluated to see if there was any recovery possible. Water was pooling on certain areas of the walking trail. This matter will be looked into. Request to have two neighborhood meetings a year for those who could not make the winter meeting. Much stronger commitment to communication will be placed in 2010. Newsletters, website, and a new sign at the entrance which will be lighted when a new message published.
