Summer 2010 Newsletter

The weather has broken and neighbors are out in full force. I hope to see many of you as possible through walks and visits to the pool. Another year is upon us and we have many new faces on committees. Several important issues were discussed at our Annual Meeting. Please review the meeting minutes and other important information on our community website. I would like to bring up some key topics. First, communication throughout all committees and to you will be our number one priority this year. We have heard you speak and we now have someone who stepped up to head the Communications Committee. The website is current and you can expect 3 – 4 newsletters this year.

Secondly, we conducted an Opinion Poll at the meeting. We requested input from meeting attendees on the issues that are most important to the neighborhood. Tabulated results are posted on the website. A topic of high interest was needed improvements to our neighborhood entrance. This is being addressed by the most cost effective means and we continue to gather input from every direction imaginable.

The Board has retained the services of HAKC, Homes Association of Kansas City. This not-for-profit organization started at the beginning of the year handling our dues notices and collections. Their services are provided at a very reasonable price. If you see their name on any mail, please do not throw it away.
